July 23 - 30 | Sunday - Sunday
Helping homeless families in the community break the cycle of homelessness. Family Promise of Lake Houston provides programs and services necessary to address the underlying causes of homelessness and to return the families to a self-sustaining life. Family Promise brings together service agencies and local volunteers to provide safe, temporary housing, meals and support services to homeless families in the Lake Houston area.
Family Promise uses the facilities and volunteers of 13 area churches, with each serving for one week, once per quarter, 4 times per year. Our turn is coming up soon and we need you!
Sign up at Info-Central to help during this week of serving three families. Your help would be appreciated for one or more of the following:
furnishing an evening meal
staying overnight as a chaperone
spending time in fellowship with the families
help with set-up on Sunday afternoon, July 23
clean-up early Sunday morning, July 30
We only have the families with us 5:00 pm - 5:00 am each night but there are many opportunities to serve. If you have questions or need more information, contact the church office and we will find the answer for you.
